Bathing rite held for |grenade-attack victim

PDRC leaders travelled to Wat Thepsirin yesterday to perform a funeral bathing ceremony for Prakong Choochan, a 46-year-old native of Nakhon Si Thammarat who died of injuries sustained in an attack on a protest march on Ban Tad Thong Road last Friday. A grenade was thrown at the group, wounding him and many others. Prakong later died in a hospital.

Protesters from Lumpini joined the funeral bathing ceremony for Prakong.

Meanwhile, a group of cyclists, recruited on social media, rode yesterday morning to show moral support for another PDRC demonstration at the Lumpini stage and to declare their intention to support reform before an election is held.

The cyclists have ridden to protest stages at Asoke, Lumpini, Ratchaprasong, Pathumwan and Victory Monument.
