Yingluck on the path to greatness?

Upon dissolution of Parliament the charter provides for ministers to form a caretaker administration.

However, in the past, the meaning of "caretaker" was not strictly adhered to. Instead, ministers used their positions to influence civil servants and others for their own and their party's advantage during the subsequent election.

In the spirit of the Constitution and in the interests of openness and fairness, PM Yingluck Shinawatra and her ministers (especially her Interior minister) should resign en masse. In the meantime, the caretaking could be done by the under-secretaries of each ministry.

Then Yingluck could challenge Suthep to be realistic and fair and fight her in an open arena with the Election Commission as referee. Suthep's mantra of people's power would look ridiculous after this challenge. Do this, and believe me, Madam, you would make your name as a new kind of Thai prime minister, a great one, in creating this precedent and controlling the crisis with the fewest possible casualties.
