Whistlers violated Pojaman's human rights? That's rich

Re: "Rights agency probes whistle protest that targeted Pojaman", News, March 4.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I read that National Human Rights Commission chairwoman Amara Pongsapich is setting up a subcommittee to determine whether Khunying Pojaman na Pombejra's human rights were violated. If a Khunying being whistled at is grounds to set up a human rights committee, then I understand why such rights violations against poor migrant workers from Myanmar and elsewhere remain rampant in Thailand.

If Amara wants to do her job properly, perhaps she should focus on probes that could be beneficial to all human beings, on areas such as domestic abuse and child prostitution.
