Where is the humanity in this country?

Re: "Ambulance refused photographer at Parliament", National, January 11.

The incident at Parliament in which Nation news photographer Sakol Sandhiratne unexpectedly collapsed and was refused an ambulance from the venue was anything but humane in nature.

It showed that certain perks and, in this case, necessities such as ambulances can be had only by officials or VIPs. Ordinary people like us can expect to die cheaply at any moment, anywhere.

And when something drastic like this happens, don't expect anyone in authority to show responsibility or remorse. There is no such thing as humanity in these people's hearts.

This is Thailand - where only you and your kind can help you survive.
