Letters to the Editor
We are the bosses; get it?
Re: "Earn the invitation to the ball", Letters, October 16.
I really enjoyed Somsak Pola's story likening PM Yingluck to Cinderella, with the Democrats as her ugly and envious stepsisters. In the US the constitution starts with "We the people". It means that the people are the masters, and that politicians are required to serve them, by ethics and law. In a democratic system, people are supposed to use their heads, not their feelings. Neither are they required to serve politicians in the same way that subservient creatures serve their masters. No, that is not a democracy, not even close.
