Please look at the number of innocent, unarmed people killed by US police each year and then contrast that with the number of lese-majeste convictions in Thailand.
Those convicted under lese-majeste laws face the probability of pardons, but how many US police never go to jail for killing the innocent and unarmed?
Respectfully, let me ask the UN this: Who, in all honesty, has the bigger human-rights problem – Thailand or others? And where is the proportionate response?
I do not live in fear of anyone in uniform in Thailand, but I would live in daily fear near UN headquarters – so who for me has the greater humanity?
