Tourists' safety comes before revenue

The bad news involving foreign visitors continues into another year, whether it's robbery, assault, rape or murder. These incidents show that their lives and property lack security. They wish to travel to find happiness, but they suffer misery.

It's time to raise the level of security and justice to take care of tourists, so that they will have trust and confidence that when they visit Thailand, they will be happy, not fearful and uneasy because of these incidents, which are reported and condemned worldwide.

The government is focused on achieving tourism earnings of Bt2 trillion within the year 2015, as announce by the prime minister last year. I think it is not as important as the fact that we must help make Thailand a quality tourist destination where travellers are confident about their safety and can be truly impressed.
