The stinging blows of 'non-violent' protest

Re: "Government the only danger", Letters, January 30.

JC Wilcox describes the anti-government protesters as "non-violent" and "warm-spirited". Yes. Other than when they have beaten up journalists, assaulted policemen, attacked buses carrying red shirts, taken over buildings and terrorised the people in them, and threatened to kidnap the prime minister, they have indeed been "non-violent" and "warm-spirited"!

This is like something out of a George Orwell novel, where violence is non-violence, hate is love and efforts to prevent people from voting are pro-democracy!
