Thailand is committing economic suicide

Many expats support businesses, send Thai children to college, pay medical bills for their extended families and much more.

Six years ago, Thai immigration's website claimed there were over three million long-term visa holders - ie, Western male expats.

A newspaper report from three years ago claimed there were six million expats. From those numbers, expats bring in more money than tourists. But now, as website ThaiVisa has it: "The holiday in Thailand could end for expats."
