Saddened by stance in anti-Israel commentary

I am more than bewildered by the one-sided position a respected media organ such as The Nation has adopted with its latest editorial.

The thousands of rockets fired indiscriminately at Israel's towns and cities - which went on for years before the current response - are not mentioned.

The dozens of terror tunnels that Hamas has been digging using building materials allowed in to Gaza by Israel for the purpose of civilian structures, and whose sole aim is to infiltrate armed Hamas men intent on murdering as many people as possible, these are not mentioned either. One expects a more balanced approach from a paper like The Nation.
