Most traffic offences carry a fine of Bt200 to Bt500. Be caught riding a noisy motorcycle and that might cost you Bt3,000.
Yet you can drive around from dawn to dusk in a van with loudspeakers set at 80 decibels, advertising yourself, your product or your services. From my bedroom, I have never heard a motorcycle. Amazing, indeed.
