Rice scheme left to rot

Re: "Rice scheme and the perils of populism," Editorial, January 22.

While Yingluck Shinawatra is frantically hiding away from anti-government protesters, she is leaving the biggest problem of her creation - the rice pledging scheme - totally unattended.

Yingluck should resign to save the nation from more economic damage. Her inaction in office is hurting the country.

Democracy doesn't mean that an elected but failed government can be free to go on inflicting more and more damage on the country.
