Letters to the Editor

Positive signs

Re: "America understands realpolitik", June 6, Letters.

Just a few weeks ago, I would never have expected Somsak Pola, a staunch supporter of Yingluck (and the entire Thaksin regime for that matter) to use phrases like "the fiasco of the rice scheme", "the blanket amnesty bill", or "Thaksin's puppet".

Perhaps General Prayuth's attempt to bring about reconciliation is beginning to bear fruit. Or is Mr Pola simply playing along with the status quo, knowing that the "T" days are over? Whichever is the case, it's a welcomed change. And I sincerely hope it's a growing trend among Thais.
