Pheu Thai Party shows provincial mindset

Ref: "We favour a democratic Lanna republic: Chiang Mai group", news, yesterday.

A sensible government in any normal democracy would try its utmost to protect the country's sovereignty.

But in Thailand, it seems the Pheu Thai-led government is supporting segregation by its red-shirt supporters.

This is proof that a majority of Thai politicians are provincial in their philosophy and capability: They are suitable only at administrating in a provincial level of politics - not the national.

It also shows Thaksin is capable only of "divide and rule" tactics - not that of "unite and lead".
