Old pals act

Re: "All eyes on CAPO meeting with top ministry officials", Politics, April 17.

The Centre for the Administration of Peace and Order (CAPO) has clearly made a mistake in calling for a meeting with all permanent secretaries. The government has been hit with charges of cronyism for replacing "permanent" secretaries. With Chalerm at the helm it will be made clear that the permanent secretaries should swear their allegiance to the current caretaker government. If they do, they will be showing they do not know what their role is in government and expose the toadies. If they do not, Chalerm will have egg all over his face.

It is also an admission that the caretaker Cabinet expects to be removed from office.

Far better for Ongart Klampaiboon to sit back and enjoy the show and write his critique, rather than call for permanent secretaries not to attend and be branded as pro-Democrats to feed to the red mob.
