Off to a grammatically wobbly start

The English title of the new military junta, "National Peace and Order Maintaining Council", is grammatically wobbly.

"National Peace and Order Maintenance Council" would be better. "National Council for the Maintenance of Peace and Order" would be more precise, but also more verbose. If we want conciseness, "National Council for Peace and Order" would do. (The maintenance is implied.)

I wish the new junta the best of luck in running the country, but let's start by getting the English right.
