Now that was a great campaign

It was wonderful to see that Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has taken to wearing the British Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament's "Ban the Bomb" symbol.

Seeing the attractive pendant adorning the prime minister's throat brought back memories of the Aldermaston Marches of the early 60s and the spirit of the young British protestors who made that sign a symbol of their defiance against their government's plans for a nuclear arsenal.

Since Thailand has no known plans for nuclear weaponry, it can only be hoped that the prime minister's personal "Ban the Bomb" campaign will be directed at eliminating the widespread private ownership and public use of grenades and other military grade explosives in Thailand.
