News from a future without rule of law

Yangon, February 13, 2015: A small group of self-exiled Thai activists demanded the restoration of democracy in their homeland at a protest held outside the Thai embassy in Yangon today to mark the first anniversary of the People's Council government in Bangkok.

The 32 protesters dispersed after distributing leaflets in Myanmar, Thai and English that condemned the high-treason convictions of three election commissioners by the People's Tribunal in Bangkok on April 1, 2014 and called for their immediate release.

Lots to think about in the new year, na?
