Naivety puts Yingluck in weak position

Re: "Will Yingluck dare go against her brother?" Letters, December 20.

Vernieta Boonlom raised a pertinent question when she asked whether Prime Minister Yingluck will rebel against her brother for the sake of her country.

I don't think that will happen.

Yingluck is too naïve to realise that her being Thailand's prime minister enables her to take steps to prevent a civil war from happening.

I would go further to say that Yingluck and her Pheu Thai MPs are deceiving themselves in believing that Thaksin is a statesman, when in fact he is just a capitalist who took up politics for financial gain.
