NCPO should eliminate inactive posts also

"Has been transferred to an inactive post" is now far more common than "The driver fled the scene". Just what is the point of anyone being inactive and being paid for by taxpayers money?

In private industry an individual found to be grossly incompetent, abusing company funds or otherwise acting contrary to company practices, is fired and their pay and benefits terminated. Elimination of inactive posts would not only save the country considerable money but also greatly enhance the efficiency of the ministries or departments where inactive participants bide their time doing as little as possible until they retire. One can only hope the NCPO will add elimination of inactive posts to their "to do" list.
