Multiple popes would be a better solution

While the media is making such a fuss about who the next pope will be, I couldn't care less.

The next pope will simply be a carbon copy of the last one. But to make things more interesting, I'd like to make the following proposal: Why not have multiple popes?

You can have a conservative pope who, like the traditional popes, believes women are nothing but baby machines, will condemn homosexuality while covering up for priests who molest little boys, and talks about sharing wealth while the Catholic Church continues to not pay taxes.

Then you could have a liberal pope who supports family planning, doesn't think the life of a foetus is more valuable than the life of a mother, and will allow priests to get married while allowing everyone else to get divorced!

Finally you can have a moderate pope who thinks the other two are too extreme. An example of his moderation is that he would allow priests to marry but they must promise to remain celibate. That shouldn't be hard. That's what most people do when they get married.

What I'm really saying is, different popes for different folks.
