Holiday in a war zone
I am becoming so inured to reports of Russians being raped, robbed, swindled, shot or stabbed in Pattaya that I have become reluctant to even look beyond the headlines.
Just like the daily reports of fresh carnage in the deep South, the details of these reports from Pattaya become so familiar that one gets the impression one has already read them before.
I wonder why Russians are still willing to volunteer for active service in the war zone of Pattaya when there must be so many plum inactive postings where they could transfer themselves and their roubles around the world instead.
