Have faith in Prayuth

So it is martial law, not a military coup.

Despite this weasel-wording, people should fully back General Prayuth Chan-ocha. In a political morass caused by self-serving win-all-lose-nothing politicians, a social elite and business powerbrokers, General Prayuth withheld his hand as long as he could.

I believe General Prayuth is a man of integrity and, while the Western world led by the United States will undoubtedly decry this imposition of martial law, I hope all Thais will give this man every chance to bring Thailand back to sanity and balance.

Certainly military coups in the past have failed to do this. But so have so-called democratically elected prime ministers and their governments.
