Get emotionally disturbed and act on climate change!

Climate change is happening now, relating to clear trends of sustained adaptation over several decades or longer, in terms of temperature, precipitation, atmospheric pressure or wind. The principal contributor to the recent global warming phase is considered to be the natural greenhouse effect along with human-abused and overused greedy gas emissions. The effects imposed by all to real climate change are being felt globally, while still largely met with in-denial misgivings.

If greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide and methane continue to escalate, global warming could exceed 10 degrees by the end of this century. Limiting and regulating emissions are essential.

Ominous, detrimental, taken for granted, side-effects range from the air we breathe to the water we drink to the food we eat and to diminishing energy supplies. Floods, droughts, landslides, tornadoes, hurricanes, tidal waves and tsunamis are unnatural disasters waiting to occur - whenever, wherever. Rising sea levels are forcing isolated South Pacific islanders to evacuate their homelands, with sea levels expected to rise 18-59 centimetres by century's end.

Global warming shows no sign of cooling down. The rate of scorching heat is increasing significantly. The United States and China are the major culprits responsible for taking advantage of less super powers by flagrantly shunning efficient measures to cooperatively help solve this urgent common cause problem.

We should be planting more trees to sequester CO2 as well as validating the potential of solar and other innovative energy sources. More than a million endangered species face extinction from disappearing habitats, changing ecosystems and acidifying oceans. It's time for us all to get emotionally disturbed in order to protect and secure a legacy of progressive, environmental awareness measures to pass on to future generations.
