Game over for the election

Re: "Doubt over poll outcome", February 3.

Your headline clearly advises that the chances of the poll being valid are uncertain. Surely there can be no doubt, as the Election Commission would be in contempt of Section 108 of the Constitution were it to attempt to re-timetable parts of the general election on another day: Section 108 of the supreme law is unambiguous in stating "and such election day must be the same throughout the Kingdom". Any attempt by the EC would therefore be in contempt of Section 108 and open them up to legitimate charges of malfeasance.
