Ref: "Pheu Thai lawyer claims PM was treated unfairly", News, yesterday.
It was claimed that 15 days is not enough for Yingluck to provide an explanation as in similar cases against senior permanent officials, when the NACC allowed them 30 days.
Of course permanent officials do not have Pheu Thai lawyers to draft their answers. For somebody who claims not to be guilty, how long can it take a competent lawyer to answer a frivolous claim?
The biggest friend of corruption in Thailand is that the corrupt are given too long to bury the evidence. The more time required, the more suspicious the NACC should become. Pheu Thai should adopt the saying, “a stitch in time saves nine”, and get on their sewing machine.
