Last Monday night while waiting to board a plane from Don Mueang Airport to Chiang Mai, I needed to go to bathroom. But to my disappointment, the lavatories in the area (Gates 43-46) had already been closed.
The facilities were still open when I arrived just before 8pm: I even used the toilet once when I first entered the departure area.
With my plane scheduled to take off at 9pm and the nearest alternative lavatories a long walk, I had to wait more than an hour before I finally found relief in the facilities on the aircraft.
This was unnecessary torture at the hands of Airports of Thailand. The state agency should be aware that treating travellers’ needs with such callousness causes discomfort and displeasure.
I hope no more travellers ever experience the torturous moments I had to suffer!
