Customer switches to another bank
Re: "Banks will further alienate customers" (Letters, January 17)
Having read SCB's reply, I must admit that SCB does live up to its claim to be the "first" bank, in this case the first in Thailand to charge this unprecedented fee.
Well, as a customer of SCB until last week, I am proud to say that I am one of the "first" to have cancelled my savings accounts and my credit cards (Beyond Platinum & Family Plus) at SCB and switched to KBank. By doing so, I manage to save a total of Bt600 every year.
But, wait, since I never paid the fee before, can I really call it a saving, or should I refer to it as a "foregone expense" instead?
