Bangkokians want their slice of the pie
In his Regional Perspective piece of February 25, Kavi Chongkittavorn maintains that those who favour Pheu Thai in the Bangkok election are seeking instant gratification. "Thais are not patient people," he writes.
Khun Kavi seems to have a somewhat middle-class, metro-central view. Ordinary Thais have been waiting patiently for decades for government to cut them in on the distribution of the nation's wealth. At last they've got one at the national level, and - not unnaturally - they think it might be a good idea to have one locally too.
