A right to political stability

It is a fact that for eight decades Thailand has experienced nothing but political chaos.

Would it not therefore make sense for Thailand to establish democracy as its form of government?

Thais want the same political stability enjoyed by people in many other countries.

Do Thais not have this right?

Oh, they do. So why is there so much criticism in the English-language press of those trying to establish democracy in Thailand? Opposition is not required nor justified, but encouragement would be warranted.
