A problem of gigantic proportions
If Jesus turned up in Bangkok for the Second Coming, the government wouldn't listen. There is a saying: "When you're up to your backside in alligators, you find it difficult to remember that you are there to clear the swamp." The current protests are clearly aimed at clearing the swamp before green mambas consume us all.
The government recently indicated it wanted all elephants to be under government control. The elephant in the room of Thai politics needs to be put under control in a place of safety before the country can move on.
