Thailand to host 15 ITF events in 2017

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has appointed The Agency Co., Ltd. to organize 15 professional tennis tournaments for the “Cal-Comp & XYZprinting ITF Pro Circuit 2017” during in April – December 2017 in Hua Hin town.



 Hosted by True Arena Hua Hin Sports Complex, the event is mainly sponsored by Cal-Comp Electronics (Thailand) PCL, together with sponsors from various sectors in Thailand.

Presided over by Mr. Suwat Liptapanlop, Former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and a Chairman of the Advisory of Cal-Comp & XYZprinting ITF Pro Circuit 2017, the press conference was arranged at Screen X, a 270°-wide-screen cinema in Quartier CineArt, The Emquartier Bangkok, on 19 April 2017. The event was warmly joined by VIPs and honored guests, such as Mr. Simon Shen, CEO and Vice Chairman of Cal-Comp Electronics (Thailand) PCL; Mr. Thanakorn Duangmanee, Managing Director of The Agent Co.,Ltd.; Ms. Proudputh Liptapanlop, Managing Director of True Arena Hua Hin; and Mr. Anil Khanna, Vice President of the International Tennis Federation.

Mr. Suwat Liptapanlop commented, “We are delighted that the International Tennis Federation, ITF, has the confidence in us to choose The Agency Company to organize 15 professional tennis tournaments in Thailand, which increased from the 13 tournaments  last year at True Arena Hua Hin Sports Complex, Prachuap Khiri Khan. Furthermore, the competitions serve as an ideal opportunity for participating Thai players to develop their skills and experience of world-standard competition without the costs of travelling abroad.”

Mr. Suwat Liptapanlop stated that the Cal-Comp & XYZprinting ITF Pro Circuit 2017 organized during April – December 2017 will kick off with the female tournaments. A number of leading tennis players from many countries around the globe has enrolled to join the competition, including Makoto Ninomiya from Japan, ranked world no. 405; Fatma Al Nabhani from Oman, ranked world no. 414; Bunyawi Thamchaiwat from Thailand, ranked world no. 446; Margarita Lazareva from Russia, ranked world no. 460; and Estelle Cascino from France, ranked world no. 466, to name but a few. Among them, a large number of famous Thai players will be participating, such as Varunya Wongteanchai, ranked world no. 654; Nudnida Luangnam, ranked world no. 666; and Kamonwan Buayam, ranked world no. 683. The qualifying round includes Patcharin Cheapchandej, ranked world no. 972; Tamachan Momkoonthod, ranked world no. 1112; and Chompoothip Jandakate, ranked world no. 1177. This year, wild cards will be provided to eight tennis players for the main draw and qualify rounds. This circuit serves as a developmental pathway to the world of professional arenas, such as the WTA Tour (Women's Tennis Association) for female players and the ATP Challenger Tour for male players.

The competitions comprise six men’s matches in the Cal-Comp & XYZprinting ITF Pro Circuit 2017 #M1 – #M6 with a cash prize of USD 15,000 per match, six women’s matches in Cal-Comp & XYZprinting ITF Pro Circuit 2017 #W1 – #W6 with a cash prize of USD 15,000 per match, as well as three women’s matches in Cal-Comp & XYZprinting ITF Pro Circuit #1 – #3 with a cash prize of USD 25,000 per match. For Cal-comp &XYZprinting ITF Pro Circuit 2017, the total prize money and organizer budget is around 25 Million Thai baht.”
