Supachai Jaisamut has produced evidence to back up his claim that he did cast an absentee vote before the July 3 election and was hence qualified as an MP candidate.
Supachai was among seven Bhum Jai Thai party-list candidates disqualified by the Election Commission on allegations that they did not vote in the July 3 election.
Supachai said six other candidates of his party had also received certifications from their provincial election directors.
The evidences would be submitted to the Supreme Court for appealing against the EC's decision, Supachai said.
Meanwhile, Pheu Thai Party leader Charupong Ruangsuwan yesterday called on the Election Commission to revise its decision not to endorse some of the party’s party-list MP candidates.
He said he had verified the information and all were qualified.
