JC Wilcox concludes his latest letter with the claim that “Only the discipline of the military can save the country from its historical instability and exploitation of the people.” Well, they’ve already had 18 attempts during the past nine decades, so perhaps Mr Wilcox can explain why a 19th one should be any more successful than the rest?
Oh, and if the writer can clamber down off his soap box for just a day or two, and make a trip to Ban Na Nong Bong village in Loei, he might learn a thing or two about exploitation.
