Re: "Bid to meet Suthep to find way out", Politics, March 26.
The Pheu Thai Party, in calling on all 53 political parties to join the next election, has shown just how desperate its position is. A delayed election date will only work to the disadvantage of the ruling party.
However, red-shirt leader Nattawut Saikuar’s attempt to create havoc by disclosing a list of people he claims are candidates to replace caretaker PM Yingluck Shinawatra seems to have worked in the opposite direction to that of Pheu Thai.
It shows political compromise is still far off.
Hence, now would be a good time for Thaksin Shinawatra to come out and show his leadership qualities, diplomatic skills and goodwill towards his countrymen.
