I'd like to point out the genuine reason why payment to farmers has been disrupted.
This is the fifth round of rice buying by the government since it took office some two and a half years ago. The first four rounds went well, although with some hitches caused by red tape common to any bureaucratic system in the world.
Since November, the Democrat-backed protesters have gone wild, seizing ministry buildings and disrupting the government works. Two of the ministries seized were the Commerce and the Finance ministry, which were responsible for paying the farmers.
The motive is clear: the Democrats are using farmers to discredit the government. The wise man says only fools rush in and believe everything they hear.
