The American Academy of Pediatrics advises pregnant women and children not to drink raw milk. Might I add that this same organisation also strongly advises against giving cow’s milk to young children: “Cow’s milk is not recommended for children under one year old. Infants fed whole cow’s milk don’t get enough Vitamin E, iron and essential fatty acids. They also get too much protein, sodium and potassium … Also, whole cow’s milk protein and fat are more difficult for an infant to digest and absorb.”
There are many scientific studies that link the consumption of cow’s milk with diabetes and asthma. Our own paediatrician says tofu milk is better.
Drinking milk is fine if you like the taste, but the supposed nutritional values are grossly overestimated.
Want good health for yourself and your children? Stay away from cow’s milk altogether.
