After 10 days since registration opened, 1,907 people have listed as candidates for the National Reform Council (NRC), the secretary general of the Election Commission, Puchong Nutrawong said yesterday.
Some 77 candidates had registered as representatives via nomination by legal entities as of yesterday The total number of NRC candidates nominated by legal entities so far is 586. For the 11 areas of reform, 106 candidates have registered to work on educational reform while 88 have registered for social reform.
The area with the fewest candidates registered is energy reform, with just 20 nominees.
Meanwhile, 1,321 candidates have registered to be selected as provincial representatives.
