The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) yesterday denied ordering the Government Lottery Office (GLO) to adjust the price of lottery tickets.
NCPO deputy spokesman Col Winthai Suvari said the NCPO had not issued any orders to “solve” the issue of high lottery prices in the market, as was reported.
Col Winthai said no special instruction had been issued on the matter yet. However there were public concerns over the wide gap between the original office price and the market price that brokers and vendors sold to the people.
He said the junta merely asked the lottery office to review the situation, but so far no conclusion had been reached.
