At least six beachside homes have been damaged by gusty winds and two-metre waves at Koh Libong in Trang's Kantang district.
At Chao Mai National Park in Trang’s Sikao district, many beachside homes and accommodation businesses have been flooded by seasonal sea tides.
Chao Mai National Park head Manote Wongsurirat urged people to keep abreast of the weather situation as this year’s seasonal tides were more severe than in recent years.
He said the park was closed during the monsoon season to aid its rehabilitation.
Meanwhile, the weather bureau warned residents living in Rayong, Chanthaburi, Trat, Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket and Krabi of the possibility of flash flooding, forest runs-off and landslides this weekend.
