Several universities have also decided to temporarily suspend classes at campuses in Bangkok.
Thammasat, for instance, has suspended classes at its Tha Prachan campus from Monday to Wednesday, although deans and executives at its Rangsit, Pathum Thani campus have the freedom to decide if they want to open.
Chulalongkorn University has also suspended all classes until Wednesday and members of staff who cannot make it to work will not lose any annual vacation days.
Silpakorn, meanwhile, has announced that it will suspend all its classes on Monday, the day the PDRC begins its shutdown campaign.
“We will monitor the situation on a day-to-day basis and decide whether we should continue suspending classes,” the university said in an announcement.
