The stroll to the restaurant through a tunnel at boutique resort Poppies Samui will be like walking through a wondrous world.

The resort on Chaweng Beach will on June 1 open a 50-metre-long underground “Hidden Passage” leading to its restaurant, also called Poppies, an excellent way to guard guests’ privacy.

Anyone with dinner reservations will be enjoying that stroll.

“The Poppies experience is all about the details,” says general manager James Mc Manaman. “The Hidden Passage demonstrates the owners’ commitment to the guest experience, and I believe it’s time to share this secret with the world.”

Escorted along the passage, diners can follow the resort’s history since its beginnings on Bali 44 years ago. Local artists have rendered on canvas scenes from that history as seen in photographs of the construction of Poppies Bali and Poppies Samui, as well as other and milestone events.
