Pullman G's Beach Club offers great grub for the seriously hungry
If you’re in Pattaya to enjoy sea, sand and sun and food, then the all-day dining restaurant Beach Club at Pullman Pattaya Hotel G is the place to hang out.
With two outdoor pools, beach and pool bars, an open kitchen and indoor and beach-side dining areas, The Beach Club has everything to suit the hungry sun worshipper. By day, you can relax in the indoor area wrapped with floor-to-ceiling glass while in the evening, head outside and watch the sun set over Pattaya’s Wong Amart Beach with a cool drink in hand
For lunch, the Beach Club offers a wide selection of local and international cuisine. Portions are large so Thais will probably prefer to share. A big platter of pizza costs only Bt360 and while cheese lovers may fall in love with the Quatro Fromagi, the veggie-minded will enjoy the Capricciosa with grilled eggplant, artichoke, mozzarella and tomato sauce.
Main dishes are equally delicious with a choice that includes sea bass risotto (Bt520), grilled salmon (Bt540) or slow-cooked lamb shank in red wine (Bt560) and grilled tenderloin (Bt890).
A good time to come is a Friday or Saturday night when the Beach Club serves its Weekend Seafood BBQ Buffet and the chefs are constantly poaching, roasting, steaming, grilling, baking and slicing delicacies from around the world in both fusion and traditional styles. Spanish guitarist Santos is on hand from 7 to 10pm to make the night perfect with his soothing tunes.
There’s a barbecue station by the pool where chefs shuck French Fine de Claire oysters and grill tiger prawns, rock lobster and sea bass in sea salt crust. Adjacent is the ideal station for the serious carnivore boasting roast leg of lamb, chicken and beef tenderloin with sauces that range from spicy chilli, barbecue, Dijon mustard, pepper and mushroom.
While dining beachside or on the pool terrace is great for enjoying the cool breeze and sunset, the interior offers muted lighting and a relaxing ambience. Fans of fresh sushi and sashimi shouldn’t miss the seafood station and should also try smoked salmon and marinated sea bass along with the cold cuts and an assortment of cheeses.
An array of Thai hot dishes such as green curry with squid, river prawn red curry are also available with steamed jasmine rice and fried rice. There’s pizza and pasta for the really hungry too.
Should you still have room for dessert, the sweet station offers a tempting array, such as chocolate fondue, coconut cream cake, blueberry cheesecake and fruit jelly together with seasonal fruits.
