The Sony Channel’s latest reality show explores the world of apartment design. “The Apartment: Rising Stars Edition” premiered last Thursday and at 10 episodes is billed as the “biggest” reality TV series on the subject of design ever made in Asia.
The show assembles 12 aspiring interior designers from different countries, including Australia and Thailand, competing to become the next superstar in the trade and carry off the grand prize of US$100,000. The challenger from Thailand is club manager Cara Ditta-In, who’s keen to put her imagination and creativity to producing tangible big-setting results.
Renowned interior designer Laurence Llewelyn Bowen heads the judging panel, which also includes the show’s host, author Jamie Durie, and vivacious media personality and home-product designer Genevieve Gorder.
“The Apartment” has been described as the perfect blend of high-octane drama and inspirational interior solutions. “It is truly drama by design,” says Virginia Lim of Sony Pictures Television Networks Asia.
The show airs every Thursday at 6.55pm on Sony Channel – TrueVisions Channel 229.
