The former boy band get back together to host a TV variety show
Channel 5’s popular variety show “Pak Wa Mue Thueng” returns for a second season, kicking off today with the former members of UHT, a popular boy band in the middle of 1990s, in the driving seat.
The boy band consisted of Phutanate “Captain” Hongmanop, Ratthasart “Pepper” Kornsoot, Wuttisit “Tem” Suebsuwan, Albert Damon, Eakachai “Eakky” Aursangkomset and Ekapop “Kai” Chantarangsi. They formed back in 1994 under the direction of Grammy founder, the late Rewat Buddhinan, releasing their first full-length album “Doo Dee Dee Na Phuean” the same year. “Summer Time” followed in 1996 then the six went their separate ways before reuniting in 2003 to record “2 U’ and “Red Message”.
“The variety show is usually full of substance and amusement but this year, we’ll be going out of the studio more to chat with lots of people,” says DJ Eakky, who’ll be working closely with Tatchanon Jarupatchanee, aka DJ Fiat.
“We’ve also recruited DJ Beau, or Thanakorn Chinakul, to work with us. He is funny and cheeky too.”
The variety show presents updated news of celebrities as well as creative equipment ideas.
