Grandhome - a major outlet for tiles, bathroomware, kitchenware and home décor items from around the world – plans to invest a billion baht to build a store in eastern Bangkok.
Grandhome Bangna is set to become the hub of construction materials, expanding across 25 rai of land on Bangna Road. With 37 years of experience in the bujsiness, the company expects to see 10 per cent growth this year.
Peerapon Thayanuwat, executive vice president for business development of Grand Home Mart Company Limited, said: “The real estate industry today continues to grow thanks to the expansion of home projects and condominium projects, especially following the expansion of the BTS line. The prices of condominiums in Bangna have increased as a result.
“Developers also focus more on offering the right size and design to meet the needs of their target buyers. We are investing a billion baht to introduce Grandhome Bangna, our new flagship store which covers an area of 20,000 sq m, located on Bangna Km10 Road, at the intersection between Bangna-Trad and Kanchanapisek Roads.
“The store is designed to meet the needs of developers and buyers in this economic climate, targeting B grade and above. This group of customers have high purchasing power and continue to expand. They have inspirations and have a budget in mind, so they want a well-designed showroom where they can look at all the possibilities. It took more than two years to complete this project. The store can cater to customers in Bangna and other areas in Bangkok, as well as real estate projects from big to small. Recently, it has been rebranded from Grand Home Mart to Grandhome to improve the image and brand recognition.”
Grandhome Bangna is confident that is stands out from its competitors. The three storeys of Grandhome Bangna offer more than 50,000 products in six categories – tiles, bathroom, kitchen, lighting, prop and DIY. The store has a unique character and a contemporary feel, especially the tiles zone, which features a Tiles Theater Zone where customers can explore tiles using a 3-metre-high 1:1 hi-definition LED wall.
The building's design team highlights the modern architecture and the nature around it at Grandhome Sky Park, which covers an area of 4,000 sq m, located on the third floor of the building. The open space is like a rooftop resort, where customers and VIPs can enjoy privacy. The parking space is big enough for 400 cars, while inside there are restaurants for every lifestyle and preference.
Peerapon said about future plans for the business: “Our company is confident that we will continue to grow and to see a 10 per cent growth in sales by the end of 2017. We expect that Grandhome Bangna will break even within 10 years. There are many contributing factors. At Grandhome, we consider potential and readiness as our priorities. To celebrate our 37th anniversary, we will continue to offer one-stop service such as 3D Design Center, Tile Center, warranty, Grandhome Advisor, after sale service, and free delivery within 200 km distance.”
Grandhome was established in 1980 and now has six branches – Ngamwongwan, Rattanathibet, Bangbuathong, Ramindra, Srinakarin and Bangna.
