Home-buyers and those planning to build their own house can enjoy special promotions at the "NPA & Resale Home 2014", "Home Loan & Consumer Credit 2014", "Home Buyers' Expo 2014" and "Home Builder Expo 2014" events this weekend.
The events kicked off yesterday and run through Sunday at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre.
Property developers, home-builders and financial institutions are all offering special packages to customers who decide to buy a new home or non-performing asset (NPA) and apply for a mortgage during the four-day events.
For example, the Government Housing Bank will provide a fixed low interest rate of 1.125 per cent for the first year for customers who commit to buying a home at one of the shows, as well as discounts of up to 30 per cent and a zero interest rate for the first year for those buying one of its NPAs.
Bangkok Bank, meanwhile, is offering a special low interest rate of 1.4 per cent from the first year for customers who buy any of its NPAs over the four days.
Siam Commercial Bank – the biggest mortgage lender among the country’s commercial banks – is granting buyers of its NPAs a payment reprieve for the first year.
Bangkok Commercial Asset Management is waiving the transfer fee for its NPAs, while Krung Thai Bank offers a zero interest rate for 12 months for its NPAs.
The “NPA & Resale Home 2014”, “Home Loan & Consumer Credit 2014” and “Home Buyers’ Expo 2014” events are expected to receive a good response from customers, thanks to a pick-up in consumer confidence.
At the three combined fairs last year, customers applied for home loans worth Bt11.78 billion.
The “Home Builder Expo 2014”, meanwhile, targets new contracts valued at more than Bt2 billion from the four-day event.
Participants at the expo are offering special promotions worth up to Bt2 million for customers, as well as discounted prices and special financial packages.
