Green designs and materials on show at Architect 2014

Manufacturers of construction raw materials are displaying their innovative products under the green and design concept at Architect 2014, which is under way at Muang Thong Thani until Sunday.
The event introduces under the “Eighteen: Eighty” concept innovative designs and raw materials both for infrastructure and interior items by both domestic and global brands.
Siam Cement Group (SCG) has put on show all of its construction raw materials made under the sustainable design concept such as Nest resident or Energy Plus resident, which are designed under the green concept.
Wilsonart (Thailand) Co, a producer and distributor of decorative surfacing products under the Wilsonart and Arborite brands, has introduced its new laminate collection for the year at this event. The company targets total sales of Bt1.2 billion this year after the launch of its new collection at this event.
Roca, the global reference for design, manufacture and commercialisation of bathroom products, is introducing its innovative products in the Thai market at the Architect 2014 fair. Its products claim four attributes: innovation, design, sustainability, and well-being.
The company offers a comprehensive catalogue of vitreous china, furniture and sanitary fittings under brand Roca at this event. This is a move to introduce its brand and boost sales to Bt900 million in the next three years in the Thai market.
Not only construction raw materials, the event also has the latest furniture designs and home decoration items. Most of them are designed under the modern and green concept in keeping with current trends.
Meanwhile, the fair also exhibits innovative designs by young architects.
Architect 2014 aims to create opportunities for developers, designers, consultants, engineers, contractors, to meet up with global manufacturers and distributors in the construction industry. The show also seeks to promote the usability of most modern building materials and technology, with the intention of improving the construction and decoration industry in Thailand to become the centre for building materials in Asean, president of the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage, Smith Obayawat, said.
