PepsiCo Inc is seeking to grab a share of the Bt3.8-billion-a-year Thai mineral-water market market with the introduction of the bottled drink Aquafina Minérale.
General manager for beverages Omer Malik said the drink is 100 per cent natural mineral water and contains seven “essential minerals” from a source in Thailand.
He said the launch aims to capitalise on Thailand’s fast-growing market for bottled mineral water, in which cumulative growth has reached 18 per cent over the past three years. Unveiled with the concept “Refreshing with Goodness Every Day”, Aquafina Minérale is targeted at the health-conscious younger generation, Malik said.
He said it will play a strategic role in driving growth for the company and responds to growing consumer interest in healthy beverages.
