BAKER TILLY THAILAND remains confident in the strength of the brand and its reputation as a top-quality member of the network despite the British firm's decision to leave Baker Tilly International.
Baker Tilly Thailand is an independent member of Baker Tilly International, an accounting and business advisory network of 160 high quality, independent firms in 137 countries.
Warwick Kneale, senior partner of Baker Tilly Thailand, said yesterday that although Baker Tilly UK is leaving Baker Tilly International as a result of its acquisition of certain assets from the receivers of RSM Tenon in Britain, which, before going into receivership, was a member of RSM International, its network will remain eighth-largest in the world.
“There are definitely no changes or effects on Baker Tilly International and Thailand, all of which are committed to providing the best possible service to their clients in their own marketplaces,” he said.
Over the past decade, Baker Tilly Thailand has |provided quality professional services and created |viable solutions, tailored to its clients’ needs, to help |them improve their financial positions and opera-|tions.
The local unit has provided career development to its staff and has also experienced a large expansion in its services.
Its entities provide a range of services including audit, corporate advisory, accounting management and director services, and tax.
“Despite political instability, Thailand is still an attractive market for international investors, as we can see from the significant growth in our investment and tax advisory services,” Kneale said.
“There has been a noticeable trend for |companies to start outsourcing their accounting, payroll and internal audit functions, especially for overseas companies investing in Thailand.
“In our corporate area we continue to lead the market in NPL portfolio sales. Given the state of the Thai economy and political unrest, we are gearing up for the emergence of new NPLs [non-performing loans] with the financial system.
“We expect this year will be another year of strong performance for Baker Tilly Thailand,” he said.
